Black Oak Church News wk. 15

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things become new,” II Corinthians 5:17.
Brother Roy read Psalm 106:40-48 for the devotion after Sister Shirley led the singing. Pastor David prayed then we went to our classes.
Pastor David sang for our special and took up the offering. Austin did the penny march for Camp Piland.
Pastor David read from Acts, chapter 1 for God’s message, are we being led by the Spirit of God and are we living in the power of the Holy Spirit? So many times we try to do things on our own. It is so much easier and better if we let the Holy Spirit guide us.
We had several out and missed them, but was good to have those back who had been busy over the holidays.
Please pray for all the sick, bereaved, lost, military, (Michael Miller you’re in our prayers), our country, leaders, unspoken, Black Oak Church and all churches doing the will of God.
Sunday evening worship began with singing and testimonies. Pastor David sang then preached from Matthew 24:1-14. Jesus Christ died for all. The King invited and people were to busy with their farms and businesses to come. Then he invited everyone both good and bad because He loves everyone the same. One tried to get in without being prepared and was thrown out into outer darkness. We should accept the invitation, put God first before everyone and everything, be thankful He invited us and stay prepared. It must make God and Jesus so sad when we don’t.
Please join us if you are looking for a church home. We would love to have you.
Remember Wednesday evening Bible study at 6:00.
May God bless you always.
