“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord,” Luke 2:11.
Please don’t forget about Jesus this Christmas. He is the reason we celebrate. We give gifts to those we love just as God gave us His most precious gift, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Brother Roy read John 4:19-26 for the devotion. Sister Shirley led the singing. We sure missed both of our piano players.
Hunter and Austin did the penny march for Piland Youth Camp.
Hunter sang for us and Pastor David, Shirley and Annie sang a special.
We were thankful for our visitors and missed all that were gone.
Please pray for Sister Betty and family, Dara Strong’s family, Dana and the girls, Donald Downs, Virginia King, Frieda Thurman, Carole Gott, Bill Morton, holiday travelers, unsaved, unspoken, country, leaders, churches, military and anyone who is sad or lonely.
Pastor David preached from Matthew in both services. The Christmas Story and Why did Jesus come to earth? Matthew 9:136 says, “For I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” He came to save us all. We have to be careful about getting so involved in church we forget about the ones Jesus came to save. We should want to share with others what we found when we accepted Christ as our Savior. He knows us before we were born and does not look at our social standing, but at our hearts. He is the true peace in the old world.
We hope to see you at Bible study Wednesdays at 6:00 and Sunday at 10:00 for Sunday school, 11:00 for worship and 6:00 for evening worship.
We wish you a very Merry Christmas and blessed New Year.
