Bethany Baptist Church News – wk. 14

Norma Stillings played Christmas songs at Kabul Nursing Home, Wednesday afternoon, Rocky Ridge in Mansfield, Friday afternoon, and the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center, Christmas morning. She visited with a few residents at these facilities. Many nursing home residents have a hard time at Christmas if they do not have family or the family does not come. Some few residents were able to go out for a holiday celebration, and a good number of visitors did come for the special events at these homes. Winter road conditions and illness may interfere with visits to nursing home residents, so it is a good thing to visit at nursing homes when you can.
Most of Tom and Jewell Johnson’s family met in the home of their son, Larry Johnson, for Christmas. Jewell said that they had so much good stuff to eat. Lowell Johnson of Springfield is still staying with Tom and Jewell at this time while Tom is getting better.
Billy Fletcher had Christmas dinner with his Aunt Jean Daugherty. Sharing in that celebration was Ray and Janet Davis, Wendell and Linda Daugherty, and Anthony and Belena Brantley and their children.
Edgar and Sharon Stewart took Billy Fletcher to a doctor’s appointment in Springfield, Monday. Sue Hartgraves also had an appointment.
