NOTICE OF EXCHANGE PROPOSAL LAND FOR LAND EXCHANGE
Notice is hereby given that the United States Department of Agricul-ture Forest Service is considering an exchange of land with J.W. and Patsy J. Honeycutt of P.O. Box 650, Cabool, MO 65689 for land under the authority set forth in the act of March 1, 1911, as amended, October 21, 1976, and as amended August 20, 1988. The lands under the jurisdiction of Forest Service that are being considered for exchange are described as:
Tract 1: Township 27 North, Range 11 West, of the Fifth Principal Merid-ian, Douglas County, Missouri: All that part of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter and the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter in section 18, containing 80 acres, more or less.
Tract 2: Township 26 North, Range 9 West, of the Fifth Principal Meridian, Howell County, Missouri: All that part of the Southeast Quarter of the South-east Quarter in Section 21. Containing 40 acres, more or less.
The nonfederal land is described as:
Tract 1: Township 27 North, Range 11 West of the Fifth Principal Merid-ian, Douglas County, Missouri: All the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 4. Also, the North-west Quarter of the Northeast Quarter and a part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 9, described as beginning at the Northeast corner of said forty and run West forty rods; thence South to the public road; thence in an easterly direction follow-ing meandering of said public road to the East line of said forty; thence North to the place of beginning. Also, the West 66 feet of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter and the West 66 feet of that part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter, which lies north of the public road in section 9. Containing 89 acres, more or less.
Tract 2: Township 26 North, Range 11 West of the Fifth Principal Merid-ian, Douglas County, Missouri: The Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 16 EXCEPT, the West 200 feet thereof. Containing 33.9 acres, more or less.
Any or all the above lands can be exchanged provided the values are equal. In the event the values are not equal, either party may equalize the values by the payment of cash. The amount of cash payment may not ex-ceed 25 percent of the value of lands transferred out of Federal ownership.
This exchange does not involve any wetland as described in Executive order 11990. This exchange doesn’t involve any floodplains as defined in Executive Order 11988.
Persons claiming such properties or having valid objections to this proposed exchange must file their claims of ob-jections with the forest Supervisor, Forest Service United Stated Depart-ment of Agriculture, Mark Twain Na-tional Forest, 401 Fairgrounds Road, Rolla, Missouri 65401, within 45 days after the date of first publication.
