Tecumseh and Lilly Ridge – Dec. 16

The cold wind really moved in last week and is causing us to “bundle up” when going outside, getting used to winter time.
Here’s to “better” U.S. Postal Service deliveries! Hopefully, I won’t get more mail damaged as I received the past week, an envelope shredded with a card or letter missing from a torn envelope.
Best wishes to the son of Jeff and Vicki Cowart, Tyler Fenney, who was injured in a truck accident a few weeks ago on J and 201 highway.
Anne Larson and daughter, Kathy, spent Thanksgiving in Hartville with a grandson and wife, and spent the night. The next day they drove on to Fort Leonard Wood to Anna’s son, John Cowarts’ and family, and spent the night there. Anna got a good report from her heart doctor in Mtn. Home on Monday.
Lilly Ridge Church had their business meeting Wednesday evening after Bible study with Sid Smith, adult teacher. The young folks and their teachers enjoyed spaghetti and meatballs before their evening Bible lessons, furnished by Marcia Lyons.
News from our supplement insurance read that premiums will be going up, a result of Medicare Part B premiums getting higher and elderly don’t get a raise in Social Security. Must be a sign of the times.
It was good to have Lanell Long make it to Sunday school last Sunday. She is one busy lady.
Coming up December 14 we send happy birthdays to Neoma Moody, Dolly Richardson and Lyndon Pitcock who all celebrated the 14th.
Mearl Satterfield has a December 16 birthday.
The Tecumseh Fire Dept. Aux. and friends of Paul Pyle, retired fire chief who passed away Thursday night, gave an appreciation and “in memory” dinner Friday evening at the fire house. He will be laid to rest in Mtn. Pleasant Cemetery.
The Christmas House is open until closing date of Sunday, December 12.
No one was more deserving of the honors given to Barney Douglas Saturday evening at Vaught’s Restaurant. Congratulations!
Happy birthday to Tyler Pitcock in Fair Grove on December 8.
The Little Vine Fellowship meeting will be at Willow Springs, December 14.
The Auxillary had a float in the Bakersfield Christmas parade this past Saturday.
Paralee Rea attended the luncheon at TA-DA’s restaurant Thursday with the United Daughter of the Confederacy.
A belated birthday wish to six year old. Olivia Vega on December 1st at Forsyth, my great granddaughter.
Happy Holidays to everyone.
