Smallett

Sunday morning service was opened with instrumentals by Randy and Venita Brummet, Linda Stillings and Margaret Rosseau. The congregation then sang a hymn then three new converts were baptized.
Tillie Fowler sang a beautiful song for a special.
Brother Roberts brought the morning message from Matthew 22:34-40, “Making the Best out of Life.”
Service ended with Mike and Stacie Hamby appointing Gary and Richelle Shelton to be God-Parents to Mahayla and Mylie Hamby.
Those visiting in our home this week were Uncle Mack Miller, Bob and Linda McCleary, Bevy Moore, Raylee and Caydee Burton, Rusty, Becky, Hailey and Maeson Carter, Nora Hunsaker, Lee Williams, Shawn, Summer and Caidence Johnson, Keith and Donna Bannister, Vernie and Kathleen Deatherage, Noah Deatherage and CR Klinner from Alabama. Kathleen Deatherage came down to visit us on Friday evening and brought me some baskets to display crafts in. Pauline Okhugsen came over on Monday afternoon and helped me put down some laminate flooring….I appreciate you, Pauline.
On Saturday, Bevy Moore, Raylee and Caydee Burton came down to our house and we made peanut butter cookies…so much fun cooking with great grandkids.
On Sunday afternoon, Delmar and I took Raylee and Caydee Burton home and had the pleasure of getting a guided tour of their new house, it is beautiful. Bevy Moore rode with us up there and back.
I talked to Aunt Violet Morris a few times this week and they are doing pretty good. Uncle  Hugh Morris has had a few rough days but seems to be doing better. They got their room decorated for Christmas. Their son and daughter-in-law did the decorating and it sounds really nice.
Until next week, remember, You can’t outrun the long arm of love.
