Sandy Church News

Last Weeks News – Several prayer requests were shared as we came together on our Lord’s Day.
Happy birthday was sung to Makinna Humbyrd, who will be 5 years old on Thanksgiving Day.
Testimonies were shared.  Pastor Neal prayed and read from II Peter, II Timothy and Hebrews 10.  He said, “Let us think of lives we come in contact with each week.  What can we do and do we take to lightly our responsibilities as Christians?”
At 2 p.m., a group went to Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center.  Van Menzies was our speaker.  He spoke on the story of the prodigal son.  How we all were lost and the Father welcomed us home.
At 6 p.m., Stan Humbyrd prayed the beginning prayer followed by several songs.  Some testimonies were shared and Colton Harris sang with us.
We had a special guest, Mike Harris.  He came and gave his testimony.  We had prayed so much for him after his accident.  He gave the glory to God.
Pastor Neal read some past proclamations of Thanksgiving of Presidents and Colossians 1.
This Weeks News – Several prayer requests were shared.  Some were for Sue, Judy Wilson’s sister, and Gerald Linder and family.   Frances Humbyrd prayed this prayer.
Happy birthday was sung to Erin Crum and happy anniversary to Kevin and Sonya Hodges.
Pastor Neal again asked for salvation stories to be shared.  No one did.  He prayed and read from John 8, Colossians 2 and II Corinthians 5.
At 6 p.m., LeaAnn Crum prayed the beginning prayer.  Danny and Connie Johnson and Abby Dobbs sang.
LeaAnn and Erin Crum sang a special.
Pastor Neal asked all the kids to come and sit on the front row with Dane.  Danny Johnson played his guitar and Stan and Kim Humbyrd led the kids in several songs.  They are the children church leaders.  It was great to see and hear the kids sing.
Abby Dobbs dismissed our service in prayer.
As always, the month of December will be very busy.  The first Sunday the kids will take gifts and sing at the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center.  On the second Sunday at 4 p.m. we will have our annual Community Christmas Dinner.  On the third Sunday we will be going caroling in the neighborhood and delivering fruit baskets to shut-ins.  Let us remember JESUS is the reason for the season.
