Last Weeks News – Kailey and Kinsey Thompson had to miss school last week due to a bug going around and I came down with it a couple of days.
Dick and Pauline Richards went to Plainview School Thursday to watch the students sing several songs to honor Veteran’s Day. They did a good job. Then we were back to Springfield Friday.
It seems like the deer hunters did good Saturday and Sunday. Kenny and Seth Hunt and Norma Cross came down Saturday to hunt, but they didn’t get a deer.
Georgia Sanders’ son, Ronnie and his wife, Sheli Sanders from Tulsa, Oklahoma came up Saturday to the Jenkins building in Goodhope. Ron and Sheli went back home Sunday. Georgia will be staying a few weeks. They visited with Peggy Jenkins at the nursing home Saturday the 13th.
This Weeks News – What a dreary day. It tries to rain, but only sprinkles and quits. I am sure it will start some day.
I guess there are a lot of deer hunters in the woods.
Rustin Ryan of Florrisant came down for a few days to hunt. He filled his tag. Here this week visiting were Tony and Lisa Richards, Charlie Hampton, Rustin Ryan, Cody Richards and Lisa Ritter. They barbequed and had several side dishes.
Rustin Ryan and Irene Richards visited Mary Jones at the nursing home one evening. Mary isn’t doing too good. What can one expect when ninety-three years old. Bless and keep everyone safe for another week.
The Dick Richards’ home had several people come and go the past week. Deer season will be over tomorrow.
Tuesday, Dick, Pauline and Georgia Sanders were invited to have lunch at the Plainview School with Kyle Thompson. A Thanksgiving dinner was served with turkey and all the trimmings. We really enjoyed it.
Georgia and Pauline had lunch with Peggy Jenkins at the nursing home Thursday. Randy Jenkins picked her up later to take her to the beauty shop.
The General Baptist Church was host for the last night of the three-week revival that was held in several churches in the Western Douglas Co. area. If you missed going to these meetings you missed a blessing.
