Georgia Sanders hosted a Thanksgiving noontime meal in the Jenkin’s building in Goodhope Thursday. Those attending were Norma Cross, Randy Jenkins and Sue and Peggy Jenkins; Scott and Missy and Megan Richards from Cape Girardeau, MO.; Gerride and Kate Reeves; Josh and Luke from Cape Girardeau; Ron and Shelia Sanders from Tulsa; Ed Hall; Kelly and DeAnn Thompson, Kinsey, Kailey and Kyle; Dick and Pauline Richards and Jim and Cherrie Goetsch from Long Grove, Iowa.
Turkey and ham and all the trimmings were served. The Richards, Reeves and Sanders all returned home Friday.
Jim and Cherrie and Dick and Pauline went to Branson Saturday. Jim and Cherrie returned home Sunday.
Georgia called Sunday night to tell us her family all 29 of them surprised her Sunday afternoon to celebrate her 80th birthday, which was November 28.
The rain came at last. We got a good one compared to what we have been getting.
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. There is always too much to eat.
I went home with my grandson, Rustin Ryan, for a weeks visiting before Thanksgiving. He was here from Monday morning until Thursday afternoon for deer season. I had a good time. I stayed with my granddaughter, Rhonda Hollingsworth and family.
We spent Thursday, Thanksgiving Day with Susan and Ed Montgomery, Lori and Ryan. We had a bountiful meal of turkey and all the trimmings.
I returned home on Friday as the family went to Branson to see her dad. Christmas is just around the corner then a new year begins.
Braxton Richards celebrated his fifth birthday the 18th of November.
