Sam Frye has been keeping up with his sisters and kids in Illinois and Texas by phone and they are doing about the same. Sam was planning a trip to Texas to visit his daughters and their families there. He’s been going to church and other community events. Sam said that he had cataracts surgery recently and now he has good eyes as well as good knees. That is something for which he is thankful.
Gary Mitchell visited with Tom and Jewell Johnson last week.
Carl and Joan Fletcher of Bois D’Arc visited with Billy Fletcher, Saturday. His Aunt Jean Daugherty visited a while on Saturday and again on Sunday.
Norma made visits to the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center, attended the Support the Handicapped Board meeting, had a flu shot, attended a ladies Bible Study, and started preparations for some Thanksgiving observances.
Norma Stillings enjoyed working in the yard and doing some extra baking last week. She worked on a flower bed to clean it up some before winter and picked lettuce for salads. The late lettuce has done well because it can stand a frost and there has been warm weather in the mean time. Later in the week Norma made pumpkins pies, chocolate chip peanut butter cookies, made and froze some meat balls, and boiled, cubed, and froze some potatoes to have the makings on hand for quick meals.
