New Hope Freewill Baptist Church – Dec. 16

During Wednesday night Bible study we went over a few different discussion points. We talked about Idleness in the church, what we can do to avoid apostasy and what is expected from us by God as being Christians. We had nine at Bible study and had good discussion and study.
During morning services we had nineteen in attendance. We started out our morning by going over our prayer list and taking up new prayer requests. We have some with medical conditions, for our community, for our neighbors and for each other.
The children’s Sunday school learned about The Ten Commandments and the adults studied in the book of Matthew, finishing up chapter 13 and moving on 10-14. After Sunday school the kids had their penny march and then the congregation joined together in singing hymns.
The morning message was delivered out of the book of Isaiah 64:1-8, “We are the clay, and thou our potter…”
During evening services we had twenty-six in attendance. We took up prayer requests and then did some singing. Bro. Bernie and Sis. Lena sang a special for us, and Bro. Lyndon, Bro. Scott, Bro. Larry, Sis. Virginia, Sis. DiAnne and Sis. Shanna did a couple of songs for us as specials also. We were blessed that Bro. Marvin Graham was able to come and bring forth a message for us. He delivered the message from the book of John 4:28-30, “Come see a man.” We want to send out our appreciation to all of the people who visited the church and want to welcome them back anytime.
We would also like to invite all to come sing songs in praise to our Lord’s birth on December 23 at 6 p.m.
