It was a great day to be in God’s house, we appreciate our visitors as well as our faithful group. There are many prayer concerns in our church and community, some facing surgery, continue to remember each one of these.
Brother Jim Norman and wife, Marge, were our guests Sunday morning, attending Sunday school, also giving the morning service to further the cause of the Gideon’s. We appreciate the generous donation, which we feel will lead to souls being saved, a great work for this organization.
A reminder, Sunday will be our Thanks/Christmas potluck dinner, all are welcome to join us. Church will be canceled for the evening service.
Our Christmas program will be Friday evening, Dec. 17, 7p.m. with play practice on Wednesday evening.
Don and Evelyn Bryan were hosts for their annual church Christmas party, playing games and enjoying a bountiful buffet. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Clements, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Madewell, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hathcock, Bro. Dennis and Sandy Shumate and D.J., Jewell Elliott and MaKayla Elliott, Bessie Hall, Ruby Smith, Kay Hutchison.
Mae Cox has had successful eye surgery and had lots of calls from friends and family. Her visitors were Donna Nichols, Lisa Johnson and Jesse. Donna took her back to the eye doctor and came by on Saturday, also. Mae talked to Johnny in Illinois, saying he has 4 inches of snow, also spoke with Thetis and Huba in TX.
Ronnie and Pat Lansdown had their family in for a late Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday. Patrick and Jill O’Neal, Ada, OK., Doug and Kristie Lansdown, Jadon and Kaylee, West Plains, David and Casey Guerin and Bea, and Myrl Cox were their guests. The O’Neals spent a few days visiting friends and family.
Pat Lansdown took Myrl Cox to her eye doctor appointment, one day last week.
Wes and Pat Smith and Jim Hathcock were visitors of Martin and Mary Ann Hathcock early in the week. Wes, Martin and Mary Ann, all have the virus that is going.
Company for Bessie Hall this past week was Jewell Elliott, Carla Wilson, Lisa Johnson and Jesse.
Stopping by at different times to visit Tom and Jewell Elliott was Albert and Doris Elliott, Shaun and Leanna Elliott and children, James Milam, and James Elliott. MaKayla Elliott spent Friday night with her great-grandparents.
Donna Nichols stopped by Harold and Kay Hutchison’s Saturday morning. Maxine Lund visited the Hutchisons Friday.
