Hello from our home to your home. Christmas is finally here, and our halls and lobbies are decorated with Christmas cheer. We have over 50 small and large trees throughout the building, ranging in sizes from
12 inches to 12 feet tall. Please come out and visit our home, enjoy the Christmas trees and sit and have a cup of coffee with us. Residents enjoyed the sounds of the Sunshine Singers last week, and the
Sunshine Singers put on a wonderful concert. Raoma and Larry were here for some awesome country music, Thursday afternoon. Ava High School Leadership Class was here Thursday at noon and residents enjoyed talking to the kids. Bethany Horn and Taylor Coonts brought in their puppies to share with the residents. Lucas Tabor was a big hit with his saxphone. The students visited with room residents and everyone was sad to see them go back to school.
Friday afternoon the Home Schoolers put on a piano recital for the residents, then they decorated the residents doors while singing Christmas carols. The 1st Sonshine Group was here for a morning of singing and worship. Residents love this group. Larry Moore was here for Sunday school, and the Girdner Church was here for the afternoon church service with the residents.
Next week I will have the dates for the churches for the coming year. Redbank Church was here for their monthly singing. Robert and Angie Adams, Willene Adams and Maxine Lirley all call Redbank their home church. Ruth Evans and Connie Burris took Maxine Lirley, Stella Stavely, Laura Lansdown, Lena Carline, Helen Allen and Peggy Jenkins to Sonic for ice cream treats followed by a country van ride. Karen Sellers was here for Nifty Nails, she made caramel spice cupcakes for the residents to eat while getting their nails done. Norma Stillings played the piano
Saturday morning. Kendall Fortner was here in the afternoon.
Our prayers and sympathy are with the family of Howard McGill.
