On Tuesday, Dec. 7, the Ava Victory Academy Crusaders traveled to Bradleyville to battle the Eagles.
The Lady Crusaders played a tough game but were defeated 56-31.
The boys found themselves down by 3 in the last seconds when freshman Seth Dobbs shot a three pointer at the buzzer, sending the game into overtime.
The Crusaders were able to establish a 4-point lead and hold on for a 68-64 win over the Bradleyville Eagles.
On Friday they traveled to Lebanon where they met the Rockets at the Cowan Civic Center.
The Lady Crusaders won 48-32, followed by a 51-43 win for the boys.
The Crusaders have a few more practices scheduled over the Christmas break, then back into action on Jan. 4 against the Wellspring Warriors of Houston, in Ava, at the M.O.C.H. Wellness Center at 6 p.m.
