We had a good attendance this Sunday and a few of our members are getting over viruses and the flu. It sure is hard to get rid of that stuff. I don’t care what you take.
Roy Hampton opened Sunday school by talking about trying to walk a better Christian life. In these times it keeps everybody on their toes to fight the devil. He’s there to torment you and try to keep people from going to church and hear God’s word.
Lee Hampton taught the adult class in Matthew 27 on the crucifixion of Christ. He did all that for you and me, so we could be saved. The offering prayer was by Lee Hampton. We had congregational singing and the girls of the church sang Christmas carols. It was good to hear them again. It sure doesn’t seem like it could be so close.
Joe Lafferty is feeling better, thanks to everybody’s prayers, prayers change things.
His sermon was the 9th chapter of Luke and he then led in prayer. It was sure good for us both to be back to church. We sure missed our Christian brothers and sisters.
We are getting a Christmas play ready, so we dismissed the evening service. We will announce what time it will be later on.
May God bless everyone.
