“Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most high,” Psalm 50:14 was the scripture for Pastor David’s message on Sunday morning. We all have so much to be thankful for.
Brother Roy read Isaiah 52:7-12 for the devotion after the singing of the good old hymns.
Brother Kerry took up the tithes and offerings and Hunter Adams and Austin Maggard did the penny march for Camp Piland.
Please pray for Gene and Rheba Pool, Betty and family, Louise and Glen Simpson, Helen Workman, Shirley for traveling, Christmas program, church, country, military, bereaved and unsaved.
My heart goes out to the Joe Breshears family. I enjoyed working with him at Rawlings. He was a good man who loved his family very much.
We are so thankful for our visitors and good to have some back that were sick.
Dana and Kerry Lafferty sang our special Sunday morning. Sunday evening Dana, Kerry and Cheyenne sang for us.
Pastor David sang then preached from II Corinthians 13:5. We must examine ourselves. If we did a spiritual inventory of our life what would we find? Would we pass a test on our Christian walk? We should practice what we preach. Are we what we say we are and what do people see in us? A true Christian will be different from the world. We are to live unto holiness. We need to be careful where we go, what we do, what we say, and how we dress. We must not bring the world into the church. We should not disrespect God or ourselves. If we love God we will live according to His word. It was a very good message.
We are not having church this Wednesday and wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving. Our Christmas dinner is December 12 after morning worship followed by our program at two o’clock. We will dismiss the evening worship.
May God bless you always.
