A local child will make a special trip with her family this weekend courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Anna Hailey, 14, will travel to Florida on Saturday with her mother and two sisters.
The family will spend a week visiting all of the amusement parks around Orlando, Fl., including Disney World, the Epcot Theme Park, Universal Studios and Sea World.
Anna, who has cystic fibrosis, a chronic lung disease, was nominated for the program by her doctor.
“Her doctor nominated her and then the Make-A-Wish Foundation contacted us,” said Cindy Hailey, her mother.
The family will fly out of Springfield, courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
All of their expenses while traveling and in Florida will be covered by the foundation.
“Anna is a good student and never complains,” said Edwin Hailey, her grandfather.
