As we approach this Thanksgiving season, we truly need to appreciate the blessings we have, pray for those not so fortunate as we, and try to make a difference to someone, if at all possible. We continue to pray for so many needs in our midst, our military, and especially the lost.
Brother Dennis read from Matthew 25:14, urging each of us to use the talents the Lord has given us.
Sunday night we honored Mary Ann Hathcock with cake and ice cream for her birthday.
This coming Sunday evening, Brother Robert Grisham will be the speaker in the 6 p.m. service, please invite someone.
Dec. 5, we will have a Gideon speaker in the morning service, which is always very good.
We have our barrel out to collect food for a family for Thanksgiving, so please bring your non- perishables as soon as possible.
Our Thanks/Christmas dinner will be Sunday, Dec. 12, mark this on your calendar.
The Mt. Tabor Church will have their Christmas Play, Friday evening, Dec. 17, we would enjoy having you.
Little Garret Richards, son of Haley and Kevan, has had a severe respiratory infection and been to the hospital this week, we hope the little guy is much better, now.
Mae Cox’s visitors this week have been, Donna Nichols, Lisa Johnson, and Joseph Elliott. Mae talked with Thetis and Huba Pruiett, in Borger, Tx. to discover Huba’s daughters, both of Iowa, had flown in for a surprise visit with their mother. Mae also reported talking to Pauline Pruiett while Johnny was taking a turn sitting with Ryan at the hospital, while his mother was working.
Visiting with Bessie Hall this week was Jewell Elliott, Lisa Johnson and Jesse, Mae Cox and Edythe Applegate.
Mary Ann Hathcock was honored with a birthday gathering at Golden Corral, Sunday afternoon. All of Martin and Mary Ann’s children were present except Kathy. Mary Ann said it was a good time with everyone visiting and all the little kids playing together.
Tom and Rosie Harris visited Martin and Mary Ann Friday and brought birthday cake for Mary Ann’s birthday, also.
Harlin and Shirley Hutchison and Amy spent from Thursday night until Sunday afternoon with Harold and Kay Hutchison. Others visiting at different times were Martin Hathcock, Kim Clements, Morgan and Dylan, Jeannie Lawrence and Miley. Jeff and Kristy Tackett spent Sunday evening with the Hutchisons, finishing up a project they had started.
Visiting with the Tom Elliotts this past week was James Elliott, Shaun and LeAnna Elliott, MaKayla and Logan, and Jim and Carla Hearod. Tom and Jewell enjoyed a visit at deer camp down on N. Hwy, Sunday, seeing friends and relatives of Tom’s family. They stopped by Albert and Doris Elliott’s on their way back home.
