Arno

I talked with Bonnie Sunday and she said she didn’t make it to church and didn’t have any news for last week.
After deer season when I go to town I might get to stop by and see her.
Last Monday Monica came over to Vernal’s after she got off work and took me to my doctor appointment and then after that we went around town looking for some Mickey Mouse stuffed dolls before we came to Ozark and ate.
We stopped in Rogersville where my grandson, Chase Blakey, works to see if they had a Toyota to replace the one she had got smashed up when the guy hit her.
Carol Moore went with Marie Dickey to Mansfield last Monday night to their O.E.S. Meeting. I didn’t get back in time to go with them.
Mark came by the first part of last week and brought me a sack of walnuts that wasn’t hulled and I had him to pour them out on my drive way and we ran over them.
Carol Moore and daughter, Laura Walker, and Hellen Blakey went Thursday night down and met my daughter, Monica Reemes, and we went to the Dolly Parton Dixie Stampede. We had a wonderful time there. It was the first time for all four of us. Carol and I got our tickets from the Bids for Bargains and Monica and Laura had to get their tickets down there.
When we left there I used the ticket that I won at the White River Valley Electric meeting that KKOZ gave and it was the Magnificent Variety Seven Show and we all enjoyed that show too, so if you want a good show to go see, go there.
Jo Stephens called me Friday morning early and said do you see that beautiful rainbow in the sky and I was still asleep because I didn’t get to bed until after midnight, so I went outside and looked toward Dogwood Hill and I saw a half of one, but it was bright and I came inside and called the radio station to tell them to look, but some one else had called them so I got my camera and went out to get a picture and the clouds had covered it.
Carol Moore and Hellen Blakey went with Marie Dickey to her O.E.S. Installation of Officers in Mansfield Friday night. Carol was their installing the chaplain that night.
The first little shower I got just a few drips of rain in it so I brought my rain gauge in and cleaned it out because it was dirty in the bottom and the next morning I had a half of an inch of rain in my gauge. I thought I could burn some papers in my barrel, but the wind was blowing so hard I decided not to burn Saturday.
Ellen Blakey, Deloris Vaughn and Karen Jacobs came by Saturday evening on their way back to Ozark and Springfield after taking Bill Vaughn down to the deer camp where the rest of the guys were. Carol Moore, Marie Dickey, Doris Morrison and Hellen Blakey all went to Mtn. Grove to the Sunny Side Café where we joined other Past Matron and Past Patron Saturday evening and we ate and had our business meeting and elected new officers and then we played a few games and was dismissed and then came on home.
Sunday morning Sherry Blakey, Kelsey and Laura Blakey came over and brought me the eggs while the men were out hunting.
Lets keep our prayers going for all our sick folks.
My prayers and sympathy go out to all that have lost a loved ones and there has been too many to mention their names less I leave one out.
Lets keep our prayers going for our leaders and the men and women in the service and their families and the ones in training.
