Smallett

Morning service was opened with prayer, Praise and welcoming everyone.
Brother Roberts brought the morning message from Psalm 90: 1-2-4-10-12, “Family Time.”
Miley Elizabeth Hamby was dedicated after the message. After the dedication, Bill and DeDe Arington and Candy Lane sang a beautiful song about babies. It was good to see Stacie Hamby’s dad and mother, Reece and Rhonda Slayden, at church for the dedication.
There were several requests for prayer, Cheryl Hopper, Mike Hamby, Cory Rush, Betty Larimer and Hazel Jackson.
Sunday evening service was led by Brother Randy Brummet with congregation singing hymns then prayer.
Sister Maxine Lund brought the evening message from I Chronicles 29:3, “Doing Church the New Testament Way, Can the Church Count on Me?”
We are sorry to hear of Mike Hamby’s close encounter with big machinery at work that resulted in his hand being hurt.
We are saddened to hear of the passing of a good friend, Dale Graham. Our church is praying for his family.
Having Sunday dinner with Bob and Nora Edwards were Toby and Jacinda Sheppard, Kendra Walker, Taylor Sheppard, Keeley Deal and Dallee Sheppard. Others visiting during the week were Maxine Lund, Makayla Deal, Shelden Walker, Miranda, Shawn and Alexis Swearengin.
Bob Edwards and Shelden Walker visited in Rockaway Beach on Saturday with Ruthie Edwards and Mark and Carla Edwards and family.
On Monday, Kathleen and I went to the Christmas craft show North of Hartville. We did some sampling of the candies and coffees.
Vern and Kathleen Deatherage made a trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico and surprised her dad. They did some sightseeing and eating out for Kathleen’s birthday. They also visited with her sister while there.
I made a trip to Windsor, MO. on Thursday. We got a call that Uncle Hugh had a heart attack so I hurried up there. They took him to the hospital, but sent him back to the nursing home. They said it was his esophagus giving the problems, so he is scheduled to have a procedure this Wednesday, to find out what the problem really is. I spent the days at the nursing home and one night with Howard and Donna Morris and the other night with Herb and Judie Morris. I returned home on Saturday afternoon.
We enjoyed a visit at Mc Donald’s with Harvey and Roma Mackey and J.D and Mary Miller.
Until next week remember, Take time for Jesus, He took time for you.
