Pete and Anna Goos of Lees’ Summit, Missouri and their granddaughter, Juhi Goos, of Marlboro, New Jersey visited in the home of Norma Stillings, her son, Dan Stillings, and grandson, Alan, last Wednesday morning. Juhi visited with some of her cousins on the Goos side of the family in the Ava area and in the Kansas City area during her stay in Missouri. Pete, Anna and Juhi had dinner with Tom Stillings and Joyce Greenwood of Ozark in Springfield, Wednesday evening.
Norma Stillings helped in the judging of “Patriot Pen” essays at the VFW Hall, Thursday morning. Middle School students wrote about the value of and reasons for patriotism in America.
The neighbors did not give me any news this week. I am considering retiring from writing the neighborhood items for Rainbow Ridge, although I will be happy to submit news when and if I receive it.
