Last Weeks News – We enjoyed a glorious Lord’s Day at Oak Grove, the only thing that would have made it better is if you had been there with us. The message from the Lord was taken from Titus, the whole book – don’t panic, it’s a short book. The book of Titus is full of instructions on the Christian life, Christian citizenship and a basis of the Christian ethic.
After morning worship service we adjourned to the fellowship hall downstairs for a wonderful “pastor appreciation” dinner, you missed a great meal and great fellowship as well.
Immediately following the dinner we returned to the sanctuary for the Fourth Sunday Singing with fifteen churches in attendance. You missed a great time in the Lord with wonderful singing and fellowship.
This Weeks News – We had another glorious Lord’s Day at Oak Grove this week, with the message of our morning worship service being from Philemon, verses 22 through 24. The message being the tragedy of Demas mentioned there as a fellow worker and later on in II Timothy 4:10 as having forsaken Paul, “having loved this present world and departed unto Thessalonica.”
How sad that in a period one who was at one point active in the work of the Lord, then could turn away and go back to the world.
After our morning worship service we enjoyed a wonderful meal and fellowship before going on a hayride. The day was perfect for it and after the hayride we had a weenie roast, played a little horseshoes and just spent a great day in fellowship.
Come and join us in worship, it would be our great pleasure to have you as our guest.
