New Hope Freewill Baptist Church

This was definitely a blessed week. Bro. Scott preached revival this week at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Although, the numbers were low, I think revival starts with our selves first. The low numbers should also tell us as Christians that our work is cut out for us and that we should be out there working hard at witnessing to the lost and the back slidden. We should never miss an opportunity to serve the Lord and we should do it with reverence and with God first on our minds, not for show, not for social reasons, the end is near and we should not forsake the assembling to worship when given the opportunity.
Monday evening there were 16 in attendance and the evening message was delivered by Bro. Scott out of the book of Amos 8:11-14 “Famine in the Land.”
Tuesday evening attendance was 11. The evening message was brought forth by Bro. Scott from the Book of Matthew 4:18 “Straightway and Immediately.”
Wednesday evening attendance was 15. The message was delivered by Bro. Scott from Philippians 1:19-26 “With All Boldness.”
Thursday evening attendance was 15 and Bro. Scott brought forth the message from the Book of Luke 15:1-7 and II Corinthians 3:1-6 “Triumph In Christ.”
Friday evening attendance was 15 and Bro. Scott delivered the message from Deuteronomy 3:20-26.
Saturday evening attendance was 22 and Bro. Doug Irwin brought forth the message for the evening from the Book of Jeremiah 8:20, Matthew 25:1-13, Matthew 26:36 “Be Prepared.”
We appreciate God first for the revival, but also to Bro. Bo and Sister Joanne who drove a long way every night to bring us ministry through their God given talents of music. We had a lot of others who did specials for us throughout the week Pat, John and Ivan, Sis. Lena and Bro. Bernie, Sis. Peggy, Bro. Doug and Sis. Corrina, Abby and Anthony Eaves and Bro. Scott. Thanks to those who were obedient to the Lord and showed your support by being at the revival and to those who worked hard to get the church ready. I know God will bless you for what you put into doing his work.
During Sunday morning service at New Hope we had 13 in attendance. We started out with prayer requests for members we have that are sick, our lost, and undone loves ones, our community, our nation and the other churches in our community and every where. We dismissed to Sunday school and the adults studied Matthew 7 “The Sermon On The Mountain” and the children learned about Moses and the parting of the Red Sea and the bitter well of Marah. After Sunday school the children sang songs and had their penny march. We then lifted and sang praises to the Lord. Bro. Scott delivered the morning message from Luke 9, “Our Authority through Jesus Christ.”
After a song of Invitation we closed with prayer. We all had lunch at Bro. Lyndon’s house and fellowshipped with each other and then went to our places of stay.
Our monthly business meeting was scheduled for 6 p.m. before evening services. We started our evening worship with prayer requests. We had 17 people attend evening services.  We sang songs and then Bro. Scott delivered the evening message from Proverbs 21:15-16, Isaiah 59:1-4, and II Thess. 2:13-17.
We would like to invite all to come worship with us. Worship times are Wednesday at 7 p.m., Sunday school at 10 a.m., morning worship at 11 a.m. and Sunday evenings at 7 p.m.
