Gentry Church News

Wendell Deo prayed over the congregation for dismissal to Sunday school classes. Our lesson was “God’s Presence Comforts and Assures”. We discussed times in our lives when we had felt lonely, had weariness of soul and seem to be no answers for the dilemmas we faced.
We can go to God and only He can provide comfort and assurance, His presence can bring joy back in our lives.
Narvil Tetrick blessed us with a special recitation using little Jackson Beard.
Rod Welker presented Haley Beard with a new Bible Sunday morning.
Sunday night service was dismissed at Gentry so we could attend the Fifth Sunday Night Service at Red Bank Church. It’s nice to sing and fellowship with the other churches. The next Fifth Sunday Meeting is at Breedon Church, January 30, 2011 at 6 p.m.
Good praise reports were given for Dale Green and the mother of Elaine Coonts. They are doing much better. There is power in prayer.
Pastor Riley Hall’s sermon this Sunday morning was taken from Isaiah 62:5 and John 14:1-3 “Relationship with God.” Jesus said let not your heart be troubled, ye believe in God, believe also in me. He demands us to be committed and faithful. We are to be the salt of the earth. Revelation, chapter 19 tells us watch and wait for He is coming for us, let us rejoice for the marriage of the lamb is come. Blessed are they, which are called to the marriage supper of the lamb. Be clothed in righteousness.
God bless.
