Eastern Gate and Around The Mountain

What wonderful weather God gave us this past week here on our mountain as we enjoyed all weekend. The trick or treaters all came out Saturday night and we had a wide variety from angels and fairies to cowboys and bumble bees. We even had a ghost with a bleeding face. Yeah, Lindsey always finds the best costumes. We always enjoy the kids that come by.
Sunday I walked into church and the first thing I noticed was that Bud had hung up the cross that Donald had made for us. It looked great, we appreciate it guys. Alice Nelson was finally able to be back in church with us and Joyce brought Gracie. Come back anytime, Joyce. Donald preached from Acts. He said that church needs to start at home. We as Christians should quit being part of the world and let the Holy Ghost be in your heart and soul. We had a soul saved and now talking about baptism.
Our hayride was a great success with lots of kids and adults riding. We appreciate Sim for pulling the trailers. Sim and Tonya’s son had his first hayride along with lots of other babies.
My brother, Howard, had a birthday so I called and wished him a happy birthday Saturday. I also went to see my mother, Willene, and Bob and Angie at the nursing home. They are all doing well. Bob told me his son just got married. I guess congratulations are sent out to him and I hope God gives them many years of happiness together.
With October behind us now on toward Thanksgiving and what a wonderful time to remember to thank God for all the great things he has done for us. Stay warm, spread some smiles with those you meet along the way.
