NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed proposals, addressed to Douglas County Commission, Ava, Missouri and endorsed “Proposal For Replacement of Douglas County Bridge over Bryant Creek” will be received until 10:00 o’clock a.m., Pre-vailing Local Time, on December 2, 2010 at the Douglas County Commis-sion Office, P.O. Box 398, Ava, MO 65608 and at that time will be publicly opened and read. The proposed work includes all of the following:
The project consist of a bridge re-placement along County Road AB-223 over Bryant Creek in Douglas County Missouri. The project includes ap-proximately 620 linear feet of roadway work. The new structure will be a 3-span pre-cast concrete slab beam bridge. The proposed bents will bear on steel piling driven to refusal. New structure length is approximately 135 feet. The project is located in Section 29, Township 26N, Range 14W, Doug-las County, Missouri.
The Wage Rates applicable to this project have been predetermined as required by law and are set forth in the bid proposal. When Federal Wage rates are applicable and included, this contract is subject to the “Wage Hours Act of 1962″ (P.L. 87-581; 76 Stat. 357) and implementing regulations. By virtue of statutory authority, preference shall be given on other than Federal Aid Projects to materials, products, supplies, provisions, and other articles produced, manufactured, made, or grown within the State of Missouri where same are of a suitable character and can be obtained at reasonable mar-ket prices in the State, are of a quality suited to the purpose intended and can be secured without additional cost over foreign products or products of other states.
Bidders are informed that all con-tractors are subject to full compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules and regulations, and the require-ments of the Equal Opportunity Act as it is not the intent of the owner to arbi-trarily dismiss any authorities.

The character and amount of secu-rity to be furnished by bidders is stated in the contract documents mentioned above. Proposals must be on forms provided and all unit price bids, exten-sions and total provided thereon shall be completed fully. The right is re-served to reject any or all bids
