Church of the Living God

Wednesday evening Bible study was led by Pastor Gary, using scriptures Ecc. 5:1-6, Matt. 13:36. and I Tim. 5:13. “Idle Words”, When you enter the house of God, be more ready to hear and let your words be few.
Saturday the church ladies met and Bevy led the service about “The Cross” and how although it was a beautiful thing that Jesus did for us on that cross, it was also a horrible thing that happened. The cross is not just a pretty ornament, it’s a reminder of the great sacrifice and suffering if Jesus. We were happy to have all the visitors. You are welcome anytime. After the meeting and lunch, some of the ladies went on visitation to see Sister Marie Long and took her a gift basket and plate lunch. We had a good little visit. Sister Marie is such a blessing.
Sunday morning we had 37 in attendance. Service was opened by Norma Jones with Psa. 15:1-13. Linda Roberts led Sunday school with Jer. 25:1-38. Special singing was by Betty Hale and Emma Wilkerson. Pastor Gary was sick so Bro. Don Graham brought the morning message about “Faith” using scriptures Heb. 11:5-28 and Rev. 20:11-15.
Sunday evening special singing was by Bevy Moore. Pastor Gary was back and brought the evening message about “Impressions-Don’t Judge on First Appearances” using Scripture John 7:24.
