November 3 – Caney came together Wednesday evening with singing. Bro. Jeff Shipley welcomed everyone. He took prayer requests and Sis. Janice Lafferty led in prayer. Jeff read Acts 12:1-25, Are we like the people of this chapter, do we pray for things and then are surprised when God answers? God hears and answers prayers. We should be thankful not surprised.
Sunday school opened with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. It was a beautiful day in the Lord. Prayer requests were taken and Sis. Elsie Combs led us in prayer. Jack read Psalm 40:1-5 for our devotion.
After Sunday school happy birthday was sung to Luke and Kellie Clemans, Jonathon Miller and Janice Lafferty. God bless them. Testimonies were given by Jeff Shipley, Tracy Shipley, Bro. Jeff Shipley led our little ones in several songs. He did a good job.
Praise and Worship began with singing. Those singing specials were Melissa Harmon, Rose Sartin, Peggy Essary and Lorraine Mitchell. Pastor Bill Austin spoke this Sunday morning from Psalm 46:4-5. This river of God is made of many streams: grace, mercy, love, hope, peace and salvation. Are we drinking freely from the river of God? A good message that we needed that the world needs to hear.
Evening service Sunday began with singing. Bro. Jeff Shipley welcomed everyone to service. Sis. Doris Lambeth led in prayer. Hi Lambeth gave a testimony. Bro. Jack Essary was our speaker of the hour. Sunday evening he brought his message from Matthew 5:117. We are and can be blessed. Count your blessings and let your light shine. Tell others how blessed you are, so they will want to know Christ. It was a spirit filled message from a God fearing man.
