October 31 – Sunday school opened with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Prayer requests were taken. Bro. Jim Lafferty led in prayer. Jack read Psalms 3:1-6 for our devotion.
After a good Sunday school happy birthday was sung to Charlotte Roberts. Testimonies were given by Jeff Shipley, Charlotte Roberts and Janice Lafferty.
Praise and Worship began with singing. Those singing today were Charlotte Roberts and Margaret Herd and Melissa Harmon. Bro. Bill Austin spoke from Galatians 3:1 and 2:19-20. Who convinced you that you didn’t have to obey the truth of God? Only through the crucified Christ can we make heaven. A great message from God using our pastor. We are blessed to have a God fearing man to bring us the words we need to hear. Service ended with Charlotte and Margret singing.
Sunday evening service began with singing. Bro. Hi Lambeth welcomed everyone. Sis. Melba Austin led in prayer. Testimonies were given by Hi Lambeth and Bill Austin. Bro. Jim Lafferty brought the evening message from II Corinthians 1:23-24 and Neh. 8:9-10. Are we being helpers in some one’s joy. How are you walking, can others see Jesus in you? Is your light shining?
Neh. 8:9 says, this day is Holy unto the Lord. We want to see you at the next services.
