Roy Hampton opened Sunday school with reading the 23 Psalms and led in prayer.
Lee Hampton taught the 23 chapter of Matthew for our lesson.
Everyone enjoyed discussing the chapter and questions on things they didn’t understand.
The lesson was on Jesus lamenting over Jerusalem. We omitted questions and answers. We were running behind. I guess the time change was a little confusing. Roy Hampton led the offering prayer.
The congregation sang three songs then Pastor Joe Lafferty preached at 11 o’clock. Susie Sisco sang.
Roy Hampton preached on the 16th chapter of Revelations then Joe Lafferty finished the chapter and gave the invitation and altar call. Sue Thomas dismissed the service.
Evening service started at 6:00. We had a good crowd.
We had a few songs. Ronnie Thomas was there to sing bass for us. It sure seemed good to be in service with him. He and Sue Thomas don’t get to come much because of Ronnie’s mom, Rhoda.
A girls trio sang. Then Wilma Hampton, Clara Lafferty and Susie Sisco sang. When singing a cappella it’s rough to sing without music, we didn’t do too bad.
Joe Lafferty preached on Ephesians 4th chapter and 17th verse for the sermon of the evening on the Walk of Christ as a believer, and new man in Jesus Christ, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind.
We sang for an invitational song.
We had a few testimonies and were dismissed in prayer by Ronnie Thomas.
Until next time, God bless.
Oh yes, I forgot to tell you Friday the 12th of November we have our regular singing and a benefit for Nicole Hampton. Come and join us for a special singing.
