Breedon Church News

Bro. Joe Lafferty opened Sunday school with the reading of the 87 Psalms.
Carlene Jackson asked the opening prayer.
Our adult class teacher was Lee Hampton who taught the 22nd chapter of Matthew for our lesson.
We always have discussion and questions that someone had to ask about different things they didn’t understand about the chapter. Sometimes people in general will get mixed up about certain parts of the chapter and asked what they thought it meant, so we learn a lot and hear lots of different thoughts and different views that people have about certain topics. Joe or Lee will try to answer the questions and we enjoy discussing the chapter.
Then we put questions in general about any part of the Bible. That is good studying.
Roy Hampton has been called to preach and so he preached the eleven o’clock service. It’s hard sometimes when ministers start out, but the Lord stays with them and with enough praying people he will be fine. He said that it was a call that he had to do. He will be a fine minister.
We had an invitational song and a few came to the altar to pray for the lost and the sick.
Lee Hampton discussed in prayer.
We dismissed the evening service to go to Red Bank Church for Fifth Sunday Singing. There was a full house. It was really good. Also we have thirty minutes of playing music before service. I don’t play, but I wished I could.
Remember the tag preachers meeting revival starting Nov. 1 and running through Nov. 13.
We hope to see you all there. God bless until next time.
