Last Saturday, the 9th, Ella Faye Mitchell went with her daughter, Dara Strong, to Mountain Grove to the home of Dara’s daughter, Tafi Shannon, for Tafi’s son, Eli Shannon’s birthday party. Eli turned 4 years old yesterday (Wednesday). Other guests were his brother, Logan David, his sister, Marti Yost, Ernest, Howard and Bailey Strong; Ben, Colton and Dalton Moore; Roy Strong; Roger, Amy and Dillon Adams and Jeff; Zamber Satterfied and Wyatt and Liviya Wharton. After Eli opened his gifts they ate cake and ice cream.
A belated, happy birthday wish to Howard Strong, who on the 19th turned 17. A belated, happy birthday wish to my sister, Christine Clayton, who celebrates her birthday today (21st). Christine won’t get the paper until next week or later. And happy birthday wishes for my other sister, Ella Faye Mitchell tomorrow (22nd) and my sister-in-law, Vicki Goodman on the same day.

Tuesday Gary and I went to Ava and visited his mother, Maxine Turner. It came a very good rain while we were there.
Last weekend Edgar and Sharon Stewart went to Tennessee for a friend’s funeral.
Friday evening Gary and I visited with Rayford and Freda Clayton.
I thought seed ticks were already gone, but they are not yet. Gary and I were in the woods Monday getting wood and a lot of those little bloodsuckers got on me.
