Happy birthday was sung to Aaron Humbyrd and Elijah Dalton, who was one year old. Aaron, I won’t tell how many. Prayer requests were for Makinna’s Grandma, Cindy, Glenda, our Lord’s service, our nation, leaders and military. Frances Humbyrd prayed this prayer. Pastor Neal challenged us to share our salvation story and several did. We had a good service. At 6 pm, we began with prayer by Pastor Neal then singing that closed with “Jesus is Lord of All”. Elane Crum shared how her friend in California is doing much better now. We had prayed much for him and give God the glory. Our special singing was by Abby Dobbs, Erin Crum, Danny and Connie Johnson and LeaAnn Crum.
Next Sunday, October 24th at 4 p.m. we will do our annual hayride across the hills. The church will furnish hamburgers and hot dogs to be cooked there. Each one will bring a dish. Our speaker for the evening will be Brother Van Menzies. We will then travel back to the church.
Sunday, October 31st will be our Pastor’s Appreciation Day. Each one is asked to bring cards and love gifts for Pastor Neal and LeaAnn. We truly do appreciate all they do for us. It does not seem possible they have been with us for 10 years. May the Good Lord bless them is our prayer. We have special prayer meeting each Tuesday at 7 p.m., Wednesday is Bible Study in Genesis at 7 p.m. and our services each Sunday at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
