Rainbow Ridge

Daylene Robertson visited with Tom and Jewell Johnson one day last week.
Billy Fletcher said that he had not had any visitors this last week. He had attended the D.O.W. Homemakers Clubs’ Achievement Day that was held in Ava, last Tuesday.
Norma Stillings attended the D.O.W. Homemakers Clubs’ Achievement Day, Tuesday and the Support the Handicapped Board meeting that evening. Norma made visits to the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center in Ava a few times to visit residents and play the piano. Norma took her friend, Paulette Walls, to a doctor’s appointment, Friday morning, went to Rocky Ridge to play the piano that afternoon, and then went on a church hayride, Friday evening. Norma was happy to work out in the yard for a while, Monday, getting some plants ready to be brought in for the winter.
Pete and Anna Goos of Lee’s Summit stayed overnight Wednesday and Thursday evenings at Norma’s. Pete and Anna were in Ava to attend some Goos family gatherings in the area.
Norma attended the visitation service for Bea Luallen, Thursday evening. Bea had been a member of the Nubbin Ridge Extension Club from the very beginning. Norma’s mother, Juanita Rogers, had also been a member of that club. Bea had remained active, hosting meetings and contributing information for lessons until she was in her nineties.
