Five generations of the Tom and Jewell Johnson family ate lunch together, Sunday, after church at the Sonshine Café. Tom and Jewell are thankful for the support of their family and for the blessing of being able to stay in their own home.
Billy Fletcher met Sue Hartgraves for dinner at Larkin’s, Thursday evening. Also eating with them were Sue’s Uncle Roy Wallace of the State of Washington, Sue’s brother, Bill Walls, and three of her grandchildren.
Jean Daugherty and her son and daughter-in-law, Wendell and Linda Daugherty, visited with Billy Fletcher, Saturday. Jean came back for a visit, Sunday afternoon.
Sam Frye had talked to his kids in Texas they are doing all right. When Sam called his sisters in the Rockford and Rochelle area, they talked about the 50th wedding anniversary celebration honoring, Larry and Mona Ranick.
Norma Stillings enjoyed some family get-to-gathers last week. Her son and daughter-in-law, Don and Jodi Stillings, of Anaheim, California had accompanied Norma’s uncle, Don Putnam, for a visit with family members in this area.
Sarah Riggs brought her mother, Marie (Putnam) Arbuthnot, of Bethalto Illinois for a visit in the home of Leanna Borders of Rogersville. Don Putnam, Don and Jodi Stillings, and Norma Stillings visited with them Wednesday afternoon.
Norma, her son, Dan Stillings, and grandson, Alan prepared breakfast a couple of mornings for the California visitors. Stanley Stillings joined them for breakfast both mornings and Pete and Anna Goos of Lee’s Summit joined them for supper, Thursday.
