For this week’s question we asked:
Members of the Ava R-I School District faculty and staff why patrons should attend “The Event.”
The Event is a fun, friendly way to get to know the people their children spend time with eight hours of the day. The Event is a safe way for children to have fun and it’s FREE. The Event is a time for families to spend time together – Barbara Andrus
The Event is a great way for the teachers, students, and families in our district to come together without the pressures of bubble sheets and grade reports. We just want to build relationships with each other, match faces to names, and connect! If there is a free hot dog in it, all the better! – Airin Roberts
This is a time in which students can have fun with the teachers in a relaxed atmosphere without talking about grades. Often, students forget that we are “Real People” who have lives outside of school. We all need to kick back and have fun every once in a while. – Gina Wood
Ava Parents and Community, come to the Family Fun Fest this Friday and let the school show our appreciation for all the support we get from you!!! This is one small way we can say Thank You to our Wonderful Community! – Ann Leonard
I think parents and community members should attend The Event so they get to see school teachers and personnel in a different setting. It’s good for parents and students to see us having fun and for us to see students and parents interacting. – Kim Davis
