New Hope Freewill Baptist Church

During Wednesday night Bible study we have been going over the Ten Commandments. We went over the sixth commandment, “Thou shalt not kill.”
During Sunday morning services we had 11 in attendance. We started out with prayer requests and dismissed to our Sunday school classes. The children were taught about Moses and the plagues by Sis. Shanna and the adults were brought forth their lesson by Bro. Lyndon out of Matthew, chapter 5. After Sunday school the children had their penny march and sang songs for the congregation, then the congregation joined together to sing praises to the Lord. Bro. Scott brought the morning message from John 20:24-31, “Thomas Believes”. This message is really a message on faith. John 20:29 says, “Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”
After services everyone gathered at Bro. Lyndon and Sis. DiAnne’s house for a barbeque. Everyone had a great time fellowshipping with one another, singing songs and good food. We were blessed with another beautiful day from the Lord.
During Sunday evening services we were blessed by a guest evangelist and his family at services. Bro. Bion Irwin, wife, Katrina and children, Regan, Kennedy, Ransom and Patience joined us for services. We had 24 attend services and were given a wonderful spirit filled message of the Lord. We appreciate Bro. Bion and his family for joining us.
I also want to clear up a mistake I made last week on the revival date. I apologize to anyone I caused any confusion to. Revival at Friendship Missionary Baptist starting the week of October 25 at 7 p.m. Bro. Scott Eaves and Bro. Doug Irwin will be the evangelist for the week. For more information you can reach Bro. Scott at 543-3617.
