We had a great time in the Lord Saturday night. We had good food and fellowship then we sang for the Lord. A blessing was had by all.
We had another beautiful day Sunday. The weather was great. Sunday school began with a good morning from Bro. Paul and prayer requests. We had many prayer requests for family, friends, the lost, the sick, our church, the revivals that are going on and ours that will be starting November 1st. We had prayer over all. We had a song and classes began. We are studying in the book of Acts. I think it is going to be an interesting book. We had a lot of class discussion, which is always good.
We had some new angels to gather our Coins for Christ. They did a good job. We sang happy birthday to Bro. Paul. He got away without telling us how old he was. You are looking good, Bro. Paul.
It was then time to sing for the Lord. The choir was in good voice. The hymns were great. Bro. Paul welcomed all again. We had more prayer requests and prayer. We had several specials. Bro. Paul read scripture from Acts 5:1-11. He prayed and gave us a great message from the Lord. We closed with a song and prayer.
Some of went to the Fourth Sunday Singing at Oak Grove Church at Wasola. They had a great crowd. We had lots of good singing and fellowship.
Our evening service began with our prayer circle. Many prayer requests were made. Sister Sharon led in prayer. We sang some good hymns for Jesus. We had some specials. Bro. Paul read scripture from Genesis 1:1-31 and from 6:1-8. God gave him a great message to give to us. We closed with prayer by Sister Patsy.
Every once in a while we have the privilege of having one of our members come visit. Some have a medical problem and they are unable to come regularly. A few weeks back we had an ice cream social and singing. Sister Sue Potts joined us and we were so glad to see her. Sunday we had Sister June Johnson and her family joined us. We were so glad to see them. Sister June was our pianist for many years and also the newspaper correspondent for the Happy Home Church News also for many years. We have a lot of members who cannot attend due to medical reasons and others. We miss them all very much. God bless them all.
Our revival starts November 1 at 7 p.m. with Bro. Jim Ragsdale as our speaker each night. We will have special music each night also. Hope to see you at Happy Home. I know there will be some blessing to be had.
