What beautiful weather the Lord is giving us. The leaves are beginning to turn. It makes for a lovely drive when you are going to church on Sunday morning. This is Glad Top Trail Sunday and the Lord has blessed it with good weather, good food, good music and a lot of good fellowship.
Our Sunday school opened with Bro. Marshall greeting us with a good morning to all. We had a song and many prayer requests. Prayer was led by Sister Naomi. We began the study of the Book of Acts today. Sister Naomi gave us some highlights as to what we will be learning as we study the Book of Acts. We read through the first 14 verses of Chapter 1. We had some class discussion. Sister Naomi did a great job. We appreciate her so much. Our little angel was there to take up the coins for Christ.
Our Morning service began with the singing of some old hymns. Bro. Paul greeted all with a great good morning. We had some more prayer requests and prayer. We had some good specials. Sister Patsy blessed us with a piano solo. Bro. Paul read scripture from Joshua Chapter 7:1-12. God gave him a good message for us from his word. We closed with a song and prayer.
Our prayer circle was small with many requests for our families, our friends, our church, the sick and the lost. Prayer was led by Sister Mary. We sang for the Lord and had some good specials. Bro. Paul gave us a short message and then we had some testimonies, a good time in the Lord. Sister Ulla dismissed us with prayer.
In the afternoon some of us went to Mt. Calvary for their singing. A good time was had by all.
After evening services some of us went by New Hope to join in another good service. A great day in the Lord.
Our singing at Happy Home will be this Saturday night, October 23. We will be having chili with hot apple cider at 5:00 pm, singing at 7:00 pm. Come and join us for some good fellowship and music. Bring your songs and instruments. I am sure you will receive a blessing.
Our Fall Revival will be starting Monday night, November 1 at 7:00 pm. Our speaker will be Bro. Jim Ragsdale each night. Come and be blessed.
