Caney Church News

October 20 – Caney Church came together Wednesday evening singing. Sis. Charlotte Roberts took charge of our service. Prayer requests were taken and Bro. Jeff Shipley led in prayer. Charlotte read I Sam. 3:1, Amos 8:11, II Tim. 3:1-7, 4:3-4, Rom. 1:24-25, James 1:14-15, Eph. 3:16-17 and Rev. 2:10. We are in a famine spiritually, but if we stay in the word it will keep us satisfied. We will know right and wrong and what is acceptable to God, was her good thought. We are truly blessed each Wednesday night. Come be with us. Christ should be first in our lives. We can never repay Him for all He’s done. That doesn’t mean we should give up.
This writer attended a deployment ceremony for my son-in-law this Sunday morning. Remember to pray for our troops. They are precious to some one. Without them (past and present), we wouldn’t have our freedom. God bless them all.
Sunday evening services began with singing. Bro. Jeff Shipley welcomed everyone. Prayer requests were taken. Bro. Jim Lafferty led in prayer. Hi Lambeth, Melba Austin, Jeff Shipley, Jim Lafferty, Janice Lafferty and Charlotte Roberts all gave testimonies. Charlotte Roberts sang a special. Sis. Lila Roberts brought back good memories of Bro. Floyd Roberts by playing tapes of him singing. Pastor Bill Austin spoke Sunday evening from Psalms 23. We are His sheep and we are led by Him. We are kept by the power of Jesus Christ. If God seems far away, who moved? When the way gets hard, if you let Him, He will stay beside you and lead you and comfort you.
You are welcome here.
