Bonnie Phipps was doing just fine when I talked to her Sunday and she and Cecilia had gone to church.
Monica Reemes came up last Monday and took me to Ozark first where we dropped off an afghan that my sister, Margaret Allen, had sent with me to give her daughter, Brenda. We went on to Springfield to my doctor appointment then we did some shopping before we came back to Ozark and ate. She then brought me home and then she went home.
I started back in making my apple butter last Tuesday and finished with it on Wednesday and guess what Mark brought me? He brought me some pears so I started making pear honey on Thursday. George and Violet Blakey brought me a sack full of hulled walnuts that they had dried themselves, now all I have to do is crack them.
My yard looked real good Thursday when Mark got it mowed and then that night the leaves fell and covered it. I guess they didn’t like it looking nice.
Friday I went to town to get medicine and some groceries and I stopped by the lodge hall and helped Mary Martha Williams and Tom set the hall up for our meeting Monday night.
Lakota Blakey came up and stayed with me Saturday and she got in on grinding up some of the pears. I told her one of these days when she comes up maybe I won’t be busy. Ha!
Mark and Mark Weston came over Sunday evening and brought me some eggs.
I got one-tenth of an inch of rain last Tuesday and in town they got half an inch, figure that out.
Monica was in a wreck Wednesday evening going to work and it totaled her little Toyota and the man that hit her didn’t have any insurance.
I think everyone who drives a car should have at least liability on their car so if they hit someone they can pay the damage.
Monica is sore where her seatbelt tightened up on her and I hope that is all.
Lets keep all our sick folks in our prayers because it seems every time I talk to someone they tell me about someone else who is sick. Vernal Blakey will have surgery on his disc in his neck this Saturday. Wally Jessen will have surgery Wednesday morning.
Keep the ones that have already had surgery and doing okay in your prayers.
My prayers and sympathy goes out to all who have lost a loved one.
Lets keep our leaders and men and women in the service and their families and the ones in training in our prayers.
