Smallet and Walnut Grove News

Sunday morning service was opened with prayer and praise and welcoming everyone. Margaret Rosseau sang a special.
Brother Roberts brought the message from James 4:1-12, “How to End Wars.”
It was a continuation of A Journey to Christian Maturity.
The evening service was opened with congregational singing and prayer. Brother Roberts talked about how we are supposed to love the unlovable. Brother Randy accompanied Sister Venita Brummet as she sang.
This Friday evening, Sister Cheryl Hopper will be teaching a wreath making class from 6:-8:00 P.M. at Walnut Grove Church. That should be fun.
Visiting Bob and Nora Edwards during the week were Bob and Carol Rooker and Toby and Jacinda Sheppard. Nora Edwards, Mary Mackey, Kendra Walker and Erin Johnson spent Saturday in Springfield having lunch and shopping. Happy birthday to Kendra and Erin on their birthdays this month.
Mona Decker visited with Cheryl Hopper on Wednesday night. On Thursday, Bub, Amy and Briston had dinner with Cheryl Hopper, then Briston spent the night. On Saturday Larry and Vicky Owens dropped by to visit Cheryl then Bub came by and installed her ventless fireplace. Saturday night, Cindy Smith had dinner with Cheryl and later they enjoyed visiting and playing with flowers. Sunday afternoon Cheryl had lunch with Charlotte Jenkins at her house. On Monday Charlotte and Cheryl went to Springfield to get supplies for the wreath class Friday night.
I talked to Aunt Violet Morris and she has been doing more embroidery work. She said she had done a little rearranging of decorations in their room.
Those visiting with Delmar and me this week were Nora Hunsaker, Lee Williams, Bevy Moore, Donna Bannister, Beth Stafford and Johnathon. I helped my brother and sister-in-law, Vern and Kathleen Deatherage, in their food booth at Marshfield on Friday and Saturday. Shawn, Summer and Caidence Johnson and Tabitha, Raylee, and Caydee Burton came by to visit us awhile and try the ribbon potatoes.
Delmar and I met Jack, Barb and Miracle Breshears, Uncle Mack Miller and Bob and Linda McCleary at KFC for supper on Monday evening.
I appreciate everyone who contributes news for my items each week.
Remember that as Christians, we are supposed to love the seemingly unlovable.
