During Wednesday night Bible study we have been going over the Ten Commandments. We went over the fourth and fifth commandments. “Remember the Sabbath to keep it holy” and “Honor thy mother and thy father”. Our numbers are low on Wednesday nights and we would like to invite anyone who wants to discuss and get into the word to come join us at 7:00 p.m.
During our Sunday morning services we had 15 in attendance. We started out the morning with prayer requests for our community, our nation, each other, and special needs within the church. We then dismissed to Sunday school. The children have been studying about Moses and this Sunday learned about Moses and the burning bush. The adults studied out of the book of Matthew, chapter 3, “John baptizes Jesus.” Bro. Mike taught Sunday school for us this week. After Sunday school the children had their penny march and sang a song for the congregation. The congregation then joined together and sang hymns. Bro. Scott delivered a powerful message from the book of Romans 6:15-23.
During our evening service we had 21 people in attendance and the evening message was delivered from I Peter. We appreciate the people that came to our church from their home church early services. We can feel your spirit and enjoy the blessing we receive from having true seekers of the Lord to worship with.
New Hope would also like to announce an upcoming revival to be held at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church at Vera Cruz starting the week of Oct. 18. The evangelists for the week will be Bro. Scott Eaves and Bro. Doug Irwin. If you would like more info. please contact Bro. Scott at 543-3437 or 543-3617. Hope you all have a blessed week!
