I am not sure our weather knows it is October. I was out in the backyard Saturday afternoon and found the Iris’s with new starts, four to six inches long and the red baby roses in bloom for the fourth time. We are now seeing some trees turning fall colors.
Our Sunday service was with missionaries, Larry and Sharon Lilly who were with us for both services presenting their ministry of 40 years in Mexico and teaching us God’s word. They have gun shootings every night and they will not leave their home after dark.
Oscar and Gladys just returned from Galesburg, Illinois. Oscar preached a revival in the church they use to attend while living there years ago.
This week on the 13th it will be happy birthday time for Geneva out there in Wasco, Oregon. She will never see 82 again. Sis, enjoy your special day. I wish I could be there with you.
This Monday Marise and Amy will be driving to Mammoth Springs, Arkansas for an overnight visit with Marise’s brother, Ed and Jo.
Jerry Hall is now home from St. John’s and still in need of our prayers for his health.
I was happy to see my good friend, JoAnna, in church. For the past month she has been out with a broken arm. Also another dear friend, Loree Perdue, has stage 4 cancer. Her family is gathering in her home from Texas and California this week. Loree chose to have no treatment. Our prayer is she will not have a long suffering.
Because God is with us, we need not fear what is ahead of us.
