I hope everyone is getting to enjoy the wonderful weather we have been having this fall. I need to get back with the program and start walking for exercise again. I was walking every day and then got busy and quit. I always feel so much better when I walk a few miles. I need to do some yard work also. Sometimes it is hard for me to get motivated.
I don’t know if Glenda Day has seen Blackie recently, but Bob saw a monster of a black bear last week out on Hwy. 125 halfway between here and Rueter, while taking lumber to Gainesville. It went across the road in front of him and then just stopped and looked at him. I want to see a bear, but I would like it to be far away from my home when I see it. I don’t want any in my yard.
Leona Edwards let me know about the Sullenger Reunion at Sullenger Park in Taneyville on Oct. 17, starting at 1 p.m. Bring a covered dish.
Congratulations to Eric and Kami Dotts on the birth of their son, Clint Christopher on Oct. 5. He weighed 6 lbs. 1 oz. and was 20 in. long, and according to his grandmother, Teresa, and all the pictures I have seen he is adorable.
Last Friday afternoon we took my sister, Ginger Sloan, to Fayetteville to catch a plane to Houston, Texas. She went there to spend some time with my brother, Steve, who was recently put under hospice care. He is living with his daughter, Stephanie McShan. She arrived in Houston almost before we got out of Springdale. Of course, we were detoured a while when Bob caught sight of a steak place he likes very much.
