On this 17th Sunday after Pentecost, we started our service with the Bible readings. They are as follows: Habakkuk 1:1-4; 2:1-4, Psalm 37:1-9 and the New Testament 2 Timothy 1:1-14. Our lector was Nancy Smith.
Pastor Wayne Strohschein’s sermon was on the Gospel Luke 17:5-10. How often do we feel uncertain of the journey ahead? Are we unprepared? Think of the disciples. God expects us to do his biding always instead of us using our own will. In this season of Pentecost, God has come near to us and we have to make choices. And we must listen to God when he speaks to us.
