Stay Strong, Stay Healthy – Your Ticket to Better Health

Our bodies are made for activity, but modern conveniences have caused us to become more inactive. Physical inactivity can place our health at risk for many diseases.

Here’s some good news! We have something fun planned to get you up and moving!  The Stay Strong program is based on simple, strength building exercises that will improve balance, health and state of mind. No, it’s not strenuous, Olympic class weight lifting; you will start at a level that is right for you. No one is too inactive to participate. Building strength promotes enhanced health as well as quality of life and independence. Regardless of your fitness level, you may begin the program at any time.

The Stay Strong Stay Healthy program is held on Thursdays at the Senior Center in Mountain Grove beginning on Oct. 14 and going through December 16, from 1-2 p.m. There is no charge for the class, but registration is limited to the first 15 to register.

For more information regarding the class or registration, please contact Deanna Thompson at St. John’s Clinic in Mountain Grove at 417-926-6111, Wright County Extension office at 417-741-6134 or Angie Fletcher at 417-926-9485.
