Smallett

Sunday morning worship was opened with praise, prayer and welcoming. Bill and DeDe Arington and Claude Robertson sang a beautiful special song before the message.
Brother Roberts brought the morning message from James 3:1-12 , “The Power of Words.” It was the #7 part of A Journey to Christian Maturity.
Alexis Swearengin spent Tuesday and Friday with great grandparents, Bob and Nora Edwards. Spending Friday night and Saturday with the Edwards were Kevin, Sherry and Jeremiah Cazzell of Lawson, Mo., Jeremiah’s friend, Tiffany and daughter of Lees Summit, Mo. and Aaron Cazzell and friend, Hillary of Excelsior Springs, MO. On Friday evening, they all attended the wedding of Jacinda Edwards and Toby Sheppard, at the Walnut Grove Church, which was filled with family and friends.
Shelden Walker spent the weekend with Ryan Breshears and family.
Kendra Walker spent Friday night with Erin Johnson, Saturday night with Mike and Stacie Hamby and family, and Sunday night with grandparents, Bob and Nora Edwards.
On Monday, I helped my mom, Nora Hunsaker, set together a quilt then took it to the quilter for finishing.
On Tuesday morning, I went to Mansfield, MO. and got my sis, Wanda Andrews, of Kerrville, Texas, and we visited some of the local cemeteries to locate some of her ancestors. We then visited the S&H Fish Farm, which is really nice. We stopped by Jack and Barbara Breshears to get more ancestor information. Wanda then spent the night with us. We really enjoyed the good visit.
On Wednesday afternoon, Beth Stafford and Johnathon came down and visited awhile.
On Friday evening, I went to Nixa and spent the night with Rusty, Becky, Hailey and Maeson Carter. On Saturday morning, Maeson and I went to Fair Grove, MO. and while there, enjoyed the parade, and lots of craft booths. We ate junk food and bought a few little crafts.
After the parade and food, we walked back to Shawn and Summer and Caidence Johnson’s house where I played with my great granddaughter who is eight weeks old. Maeson and I then drove to Springfield where we visited with my sister, Johnnie and Violet Flair. We fed the neighbor’s goats some leaves and branches then we drove to Nixa, bought a pizza, went home and ate then crashed.
Remember, Proverbs 25:11 says, “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.”
