Sorry, but I missed church this week. I was on my way back from camping but listened to a good message on the radio. I was along the same subject that Brother Roberts has been preaching for a few weeks, about the “Journey to Christian Maturity.”
On Sunday evening there was a pizza party for the winning Sunday school class and was enjoyed by everyone else too.
Visiting Bob and Nora Edwards during the week were Bob and Carol Rooker, Kendra and Shelden Walker, Jacinda and Toby Sheppard, Cody and Ryan Breshears and Rick Mitchell.
Delmar and I were camping from Tuesday until Sunday and while there we enjoyed a car show-craft show and I helped my brother and sister-in-law with their food booth. My sister, Violet, and Johnny Flair came to camp and made a very good apple pie for us. Nora Hunsaker and Lee Williams also came to the camp on Saturday. My daughter, Becky Carter, from Nixa, came down on Sunday evening and spent the night. My daughter, Donna Bannister, from Mansfield came down Sunday evening to visit. We went to the visitation for Harley Newberry and then on Monday we attended his funeral.
On Monday, Stacie, Mahayla, and Miley Hamby came to visit. We sure enjoyed them.
I just received word that Dara Strong was taken to the hospital by ambulance so she needs our prayers.
Remember that it is always more blessed to give than to receive. Our time is good to give to someone who is lonely.
