Freeda Holt visited with Tom and Jewell Johnson one day last week. Tom and Jewell attended the wedding of their great-granddaughter, Kylie Johnson, and Tyler Loftin last Saturday afternoon.
Billy Fletcher went to the Senior Center for the “Miles for Meals, Biscuit and gravy breakfast, Saturday morning. He listened to the music that was provided. His friend, Edgar Stewart, sings with the Heritage Singers.
Norma Stillings had one of her busiest weeks of the year last week. Once in a while it just happens that several of the monthly, quarterly, and annual meetings all hit the same week. The church was having its annual mission conference as well so it was almost non-stop. Norma attended meetings of the Douglas County Homemakers, the Douglas and Ozark Counties Retired Teachers Association, The Support the Handicapped Board, Douglas County CHART, and managed to make visits to Rocky Ridge and Heart of the Ozarks to play the piano.
The members of CHART were given a tour of the new Wellness Center after their meeting, Thursday afternoon. The building is beautiful and Ava can be proud to have such a facility.
This Monday morning, Norma was back to her regular routine. She went to the therapy clinic/fitness center, Monday morning to work out the kinks. She has been working out regularly for ten years, two or three times a week to combat the effects of arthritis and aging.
